How to Commission a Piece

     1) Rummage through your drawers, closets and boxes of stuff and gather up anything and everything you’d like to incorporate in your piece. If you can’t drum up enough things, ask your friends and relatives to contribute. The more the merrier!

     2) Pick up the phone and let’s discuss what you’d like me to create. For folks in the Seattle area, we can set up a face-to-face. To personalize your piece (either for yourself or someone else) we’ll need to chat by phone or e-mail, so I can learn about the personality, hobbies and preferences of your subject.

     3) Make an inventory list of your items and include a copy of it when you send me your box of treasures - Please insure it!  As soon as your package arrives, I’ll determine if you’ve sent enough to cover the base you’ve chosen. If you’d like me to supplement your piece, additional charges will apply.

     4) I’ll send a proposal and contract for your signature and deposit. I require 50% payment up front with the balance due upon completion. Shipping, packaging and insurance costs will be included in your final invoice.

     5) Turnaround times vary for each completed piece. If your work is for a special occasion, let me know right away so we can schedule completion accordingly (rush charges may apply).
